Reverberation room test and interpretation of NRC value of sound-absorbing panels

NRC value is the average of the sound absorption coefficient of four octave bands from 250 to 2000 Hz, tested in a standard reverberation chamber according to ASTM C423. The higher the NRC, the stronger the sound absorption ability of the material, but it needs to be judged based on the actual installation cavity and back panel.

The reverberation chamber test is performed by suspending sample plates to compare the changes in reverberation time before and after installation. Customers should pay attention to NRC and low-frequency band performance when selecting materials, rather than just looking at a single value. MuShu products all come with test reports.
